completed by the end of 2006 since it was set as a goal for Main Street. Pike Burkhart
suggested we offer links for downtown merchants and charging them a fee for the advertising.
Lisa House encouraged the Main Street Coordinator to begin the website even if all
information had not been gathered because it's going to be ever-changing.
>- Design Committee - No report given at this time.
>> Economic Restructuring Committee - No report given at this time.

Update on budget requests
Everything we asked for was submitted in the new budget except the moonlighting of the 12 trees in
the plaza surrounding the fountain. Main Street will try to fund the trees through fund raisers and
private donations.

Fundraising ideas
Jason Browning shared a fund raising idea with the board. The idea is to have a fundraiser at Buffalo
Joe's with live music and live auction with a ticket price at the door. Buffalo Joe's is just offering to
provide the facility and they will make a donation to Main Street. The funds will be used to support
the Festival of Pumpkins and to support the moonlighting in the trees.

Festival of Pumpkins
Committee members include Jennifer Long, Walt Brown, Cindy Allcorn and Wyatt Bowden. Vendors
will be scrutinized more closely upon board recommendations. Johnny Lee and Stoney Larue will
perform Friday night, local bands on Saturday. A mechanical bull is planned and a designated dance
area as well. The NL/paris football game will not interfere with the Friday night concert this year.
Lisa House suggested a dance contest with scholarships as prizes. All agreed that Friday needs some
new venues.

Downtown Merchants Association
Last meeting went much better than months passed. Main Street Coordinator presented a report and
agenda was shared prior to the meeting. Main Street Coordinator had requested President of the
Association share the agenda prior to the meeting as to not be put on the spot at each meeting.

Request for items for next agenda
Brainstorming session for an additional visitor's center to be located downtown. An additional
festival associated with the Great Fire of 1916 sponsored by a brand such as PACE picante sauce.

A motion to adjourn was made by Walt Brown and seconded by Casey Rose. Meeting was adjourned
at 4:20 p.m.

Approved this 19th day of July 2006.

Zach Saffle, Chairman Signature

Page 2 of2
