<br />which the dog is kept. <br /> <br />B. It shall be stated in the administrative notice that the alleged owner of the <br />dog and/or property owner has ten (10) days from the date of the notice to correct alleged <br />violations. <br /> <br />C. If the City receives no reply or satisfactory corrective action as a result of the <br />administrative notice, the City Administrator, or any other authorized designee, shall initiate <br />appropriate action as defined in Section V, "Penalty and Enforcement". <br /> <br />Section IV. Regulation of Potentially Dangerous Dogs Covered by this Ordinance <br /> <br />A. Any person who owns, keeps, shelters, or acquires a dog or dogs over six (6) months of age, <br />covered by this Ordinance, must, within 10 days, register such dog or dogs with the City of <br />Blossom with a one-time registration fee of $50.00 for each dog. <br /> <br />B. Persons who own, are keeping, sheltering, or raising any dog(s) covered by this <br />Ordinance on premises not owned by said person shall be required to provide to the City <br />of Blossom written permission from the owner of the property for said dog(s) to be kept on such <br />property. Written permission from the owner of the property shall include the number of dogs <br />and individual descriptions of the animals. Property owners on whose premises the dog is being <br />kept shall be responsible to assure that no regulation within this Ordinance is violated. <br /> <br />C. The City must be provided assurance of compliance with Section IV, paragraphs A and B, <br />above, before it will be authorized to connect, reconnect, or continue City utility services to any <br />property on which subject dog is being kept. <br /> <br />D. Every person who owns, is keeping, sheltering, or raising any dog(s) covered by this <br />Ordinance shall confine such animal(s) to the premises of the dog owner or person keeping <br />same. The dog(s) shall be confined by a secure fence or wall, capable of preventing the entry <br />of the general public, including children, and capable of preventing the release or escape of the <br />dog(s). <br /> <br />E. The regular confinement of a dog by chain, rope, leash, or tether in lieu of a secure <br />confinement by fence or wall, is not an acceptable method of confinement of the dog and does <br />not provide for compliance with this Ordinance. <br /> <br />F. All dogs kept within the City limits shall be immunized annually against rabies by means of <br />an anti-rabies vaccine approved and administered by a duly licensed veterinarian. Every <br />veterinarian who vaccinates any dog shall issue a certificate of vaccination to the owner, stating <br />the name of the owner, the address of the owner, a description of the dog, the date of the <br />vaccination, the number of the rabies vaccination tag, and the kind of vaccine used. Upon <br />vaccinating each dog, the veterinarian shall furnish the owner of the dog a metal tag, on one <br />side of which is stamped the words "Rabies Vaccine Administered" or similar phrase, and the <br />vaccination tag number and the date of the vaccination. Such tag at all times shall be securely <br />attached to the collar around the neck of the dog or harness around the neck and body of the <br />dog. Dog owners shall provide to the Blossom City Secretary a copy of the rabies vaccination <br />certificate and copy of subsequent annual renewal of same. <br /> <br />''--''- <<, ---.. <br />
