AUGUST 29. 2006 <br />12:00 O'CLOCK NOON <br /> <br />1. The Board of Adjustment Board meeting was called to order by Chairman <br />Terry Christian at 12:00 p.m. <br /> <br />A. The following members were present: <br />Rodney Bass <br />Kyle Me Carley <br />Howard Corriston <br />Chester Martindale <br />Alternate: Louis Vates <br /> <br />B. The following members were absent: <br />Alternate: David Glass <br /> <br />C. Also present was Robert Talley and Todd Varner, Code Inspectors; Sgt. <br />Danny Huff; and Janice Wortham, Administrative Assistant, Community <br />Development. <br /> <br />2. Approval of minutes from previous meetings. Motion to approve the minutes <br />of the July 25, 2006, meeting was made by Howard Corriston, seconded by <br />Chester Martindale. Motion carried 6-0. <br /> <br />3. Public Hearing to consider the petition of Don Gore to grant a variance of <br />Zoning Ordinance No. 1710, Section 9-502 (3), to modify the required front <br />fence setback from the front face of the house to a distance of 18' from the <br />front face of the house toward Hearon Street, on Lots 2 and 2A, Block B, of the <br />Nancy Wright Addition, being number 840 Hearon Street. Don Gore objected <br />to Wendy McNeal and Wendall Babb speaking at the meeting stating that they <br />are not homeowners within 200 feet of the property in which the variance is <br />being requested. Terry Christian stated that this would be noted for the <br />record. <br /> <br />Ms. McNeal, 250 CR 12500, stated that she owns property at 918 E. Hearon. <br />She said the fence was put up to hide the dogs and that Mr. Gore has been <br />arrested for cruelty to animals. Ms. McNeal stated that the odor and barking <br />dogs are bothering her renters. People who have to go to work are being kept <br />up all night by the barking dogs. <br />
