Once completely 4-laned, it will become the primary <br /> <br />north-south bypass for the already congested IH 35 and US 75 corridors through the <br /> <br />Dallas-Ft Worth region. Closing this gap will REDUCE CONGESTION and IMPROVE <br />AIR QUALITY in the metroplex. <br /> <br />SH 24 was selected as a part of the Texas Trunk System by the Texas Transportation <br /> <br />Commission in 1997. Closing this gap at approximately the middle of this route will <br /> <br />EXPAND ECONOMIC OPPORTUNITY through the NETMOB region and <br /> <br />INCREASE THE VALUE OF TRANSPORT A TION ASSETS. <br /> <br />3 <br />
