<br />bridges, and regulate the use thereof and require the removal from streets, sidewalks,

<br />EXPLANATION: Amends the title to include other public property; amends the
<br />section to delete antiquated language and to clarify the city's authority to remove
<br />obstructions from public property.

<br />Section 11. Street and public property improvements.
<br />
<br />The City of Paris shall have exclusive dominion, control and jurisdiction in, upon,
<br />and over and under the public streets, avenues, alleys, and highways of the eity,
<br />hi~hwavs and other public property of the city. and may provide for the
<br />improvement thereof by paving, re-paving, raising, draining, constructin!! public
<br />improvements or otherwise.

<br />The provisions of Chapter 106, Fortieth Legislature, First Called Session, Aets
<br />1927, being article 1105b, Vernon's J.A...nnotated Ch'il Statutes of Texas, together
<br />with existing amendments and all such amendments as hereafter may be made,
<br />and aets supplementary thereto, now and thereafter enaeted, are expressly
<br />adopted and made a part of this Charter. The eity's authority over sueh publie
<br />property shall include all authority granted by the Legislature and Constitution
<br />of the state and all eontrol not expressly prohibited by the Legislature or the
<br />Constitution.
