A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, TEXAS, AWARDING THE BID FOR THE PURCHASE OF FOUR (4) BATTERY POWERED HYDRAULIC LIFT AMBULANCE STRETCHERS FOR CITY'S EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICES DEPARTMENT; MAKING OTHER FINDINGS AND PROVISIONS RELATED TO THE SUBJECT; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris did heretofore on the 25th day of September, 2006, in Ordinance No. 2006-_ authorize the City staff to advertise for bids for four (4) battery powered hydraulic lift ambulance stretchers for the City's Emergency Medical Services Department, which bids were received until 3:00 o'clock p.m., Tuesday, March 20, 2007; and, WHEREAS, the best bid for the stretchers was made by the Stryker Corporation, 3800 East Centre Ave., Portage Michigan 49002, and it should be awarded the bid for such stretchers and optional equipment; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS: Section 1. That the findings set out in the preamble of this resolution are hereby in all things approved. Section 2. That the bid of the Stryker Corporation, for furnishing four (4) Stryker Model 6500 Power-Pro Stretchers with Dual Wheel Locks and Equipment Hooks in the amount of $39,976.00, is hereby accepted as the lowest responsible bid which provides the best value to the City (see Bid Tabulation attached hereto as Exhibit A), and the contract is hereby awarded to Stryker Corporation for these goods in the amount stated herein. Section 5. That this resolution shall be effective from and after the date of passage. PASSED AND APPROVED this 26th day of March, 2007.
