Bid specifications <br />were available for pick up at City Hall. <br /> <br />Four (4) sets of bid specifications were mailed out. Sealed bids were received from <br />three (3) vendors. Bids were publicly opened on March 20th, 2007 at 3:00 PM. <br /> <br />Recommendation: <br /> <br />It is recommended that Stryker Corporation, 3800 East Centre Ave, Portage MI 49002 <br />be awarded the bid to furnish and deliver four (4) Stryker Power-Pro Model 6500 <br />Ambulance Stretchers. The Model 6500 is equipped with a battery charger and two (2) <br />batteries as standard equipment. It is my request to <br />overspend this account by $1,976. It is my intention to offset this additional expense <br />through cost savings or additional revenues by the fiscal year end in the total EMS <br />budget.
