<br />MINUTES OF THE REGULAR <br />MEETING OF THE <br />MAIN STREET ADVISORY BOARD <br /> <br />February 20, 2007 <br />City Hall Council Chambers <br />107 East Kaufman Street <br />4:00 p.m. <br /> <br />A meeting of the members of the Paris Main Street Advisory Board was held Tuesday, February 20, <br />2007 at 4:00 p.m., at City Hall Council Chambers. In the absence of the chairman and vice-chairman, <br />board member Zach Saffle was nominated to preside over the meeting by Cindy Allcorn, the motion <br />was seconded by Karol Lyn Moore. Motion passed unanimously. <br /> <br />PRESENT: Zach Saffle <br />Cindy Allcorn <br />Matthew Coyle <br />Karol Lyn Moore <br /> <br />ABSENT: Linda Knox <br />Drew Crawford <br />Pike Burkhart <br />Lisa House <br />Casey Rose <br />Walt Brown <br />Jennifer Long <br /> <br />Others present included Becky Semple, Director, V &CC. <br /> <br />Minutes <br />January 9,' 2007 and January 16, 2007 minutes were reviewed by board members and a motion was <br />made by Karol Lyn Moore to approve the minutes as prepared. Cindy Allcorn seconded and minutes <br />were unanimously approved. <br /> <br />Organization Committee Report - Beth Golden read Pike Burkhart's report to the board. Gateway <br />sites have been identified by TXDOT and the City of Paris. The bid process for the construction of the <br />signs and electrical locations should be finalized this spring with sign installation slated for this <br />summer. The sign committee is continuing to work on way-finding signs for Paris. Pike is <br />encouraging the committee to submit the project and begin work on the project prior to October 1, <br />2007, since funds were allocated in the 2006/2007 budget. He recommended that if the way-finding <br />project was not completed before October 1, 2007 that the funds be transferred to the Chamber of <br />Commerce and earmarked for the project. <br /> <br />Promotions Committee Report - Beth Golden informed the board that she had spoken with Walt <br />Brown prior to today's meeting. Walt shared that" Always Welcome and Chris Brown Gallery and <br />Art Market might want to piggy back their grand openings with the Loft Tour event. Several dates <br />for the Tour were discussed by the board and board members agreed May would be more <br />appropriate than April due to the upcoming Archery event.
