<br />Regular City Council Meeting <br />May 21,2007 <br />Page 4 <br /> <br />located on top of the First National Bank Building, beings Lots 7 and 8, City Block 8, located <br />at 104 Bonham Street. <br /> <br />Council Member Wilson inquired about the location of the antenaes and asked for <br />photographs reflecting same. David Prejean, representative for Crafton Communications, 1901 <br />Royal Lane, Suite 104, Dallas, Texas, told Council the antenaes would mount on the side of the <br />building and would be painted the same color of the building. Council Member Biard asked if <br />photographs were available depicting what it would look like. Mr. Prejean provided photographs <br />to Council. <br /> <br />A Motion to approve this item was made by Council Member Fisher and seconded by <br />Council Member Wilson. Motion carried, 6 ayes - 0 nays. <br /> <br />14. Consideration of and action on the following resolutions. <br /> <br />A. RESOLUTION NO. 2007-056: A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF <br />THE CITY OF PARIS, TEXAS, AWARDING A CONTRACT WITH G&K <br />SERVICES FOR FURNISHING AND SERVICING EMPLOYEE UNIFORMS FOR <br />VARIOUS CITY DEPARTMENTS; MAKING OTHER FINDINGS AND <br />PROVISIONS RELATED TO THE SUBJECT; AND PROVIDING AN <br />EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />Council Member Wilson asked for an explanation of this item. Shawn Napier explained the <br />rates would remain the same as the previous three years. He further explained this was made <br />possible, because the company was a member of Buy Board. Shawn stated the last year the City <br />contracted with Aramark was 2004, and the total invoice for that year was $71,000.00. In 2005, the <br />City spent $38,900.00 with G&K for uniforms. Council Member Biard asked Kent McIlyar ifhe <br />had reviewed the contract and ifhe was comfortable with it. Kent answered in the affirmative. Kent <br />informed Council that G&K had initially asked for a three year guaranteed contract and he informed <br />them that the City was subject to City Council approval of its budget. After negotiations, the <br />contract was drafted as a one year contract with two one year renewables. <br /> <br />A Motion to approve this item was made by Council Member Fisher and seconded by <br />Council Member Brown. Motion carried, 6 ayes - 0 nays. <br /> <br />15. Citizens Forum. <br /> <br />Marva Joe, 161O-17th N.E. - expressed thanks to the citizens of Paris for passing all seventy <br />amendments to the Charter. In addition, she wanted to know the process offorming a diverse task <br />force. <br /> <br />16. Consideration of and approval of the Monthly Financial Report. <br />
