<br />salvage yard. <br /> <br />Julio Natahl, 8040 Middle Hill, Frisco, stated he has been in salvage for 17 <br />years in Dallas, and he wants to purchase a salvage yard in Paris. They clean <br />cars so they're not environmental hazards before they go out to the yard. <br /> <br />John Larkin, Larkin Environmental, presented paperwork showing that the <br />wrecking yard's TCEQ permit is still active. He is requesting that this be <br />permitted to reopen. <br /> <br />Jace Horton, 5151 Loraine Drive, Frisco, is the grandson of Jane Williams. He <br />stated that the business has .been in the family for over fifty years and they <br />employed several people. If they cannot sell it as a wrecking yard, it will be <br />a detriment to N. Main Street. <br /> <br />There was no opposition present, and the public hearing was declared closed. <br /> <br />4. Consideration of and action on the petition of Jane Williams for a change in <br />zoning from a Light Industrial District (LI) to a Heavy Industrial District (HI) <br />with a Specific Use Permit (41) on Lots 23 and 24, Block 251, being numbers <br />2211 and 2255 N. Main Street. Fran Neeley stated that this wrecking yard has <br />been there since she can remember, and she would hate to see it go since it's <br />a fixture to Paris. Motion was made by Fran Neeley, seconded by Benny Plata, <br />to approve the request. Motion carried 6-0. <br /> <br />5. Consideration of and action on the Preliminary Plat of Lot 1 Block A, Jordan <br />Addition (City Block 091), being located in the 500-600 block of N. Main Street. <br />Motion was made by Benny Plata, seconded by Reeves Hayter, to approve the <br />plat subject to the City Engineer's recommendation. Motion carried 6-0. <br /> <br />6. Consideration of and action on the Preliminary Plat of Lot 1 Block A, Main St. <br />250 Addition (City Block 250), being number 2240 N. Main Street. Shawn <br />Napier, City Engineer, stated the back 2/3 of the lot is zoned SF-2, but they <br />don't currently have plans to build in that area. Motion was made by Benny <br />Plata, seconded by Darin Manning, to approve the plat subject to the City <br />Engineer's recommendation. Motion carried 6..0. <br /> <br />7. Consideration of and action on the Preliminary Plat of Lot 2, Block A, Lamar <br />Plaza (City Block 102), being located in the 1400 block of Lamar Avenue. <br />Commissioners expressed concern about drainage and lack of access to back <br />lot. Motion was made by Reeves Hayter, seconded by Barbara Forrest, to <br />approve the plat subject to the C~ty Engineer's recommendation. Motion <br />carried 6-0. <br />
