<br />MINUTES <br />SPECIAL MEETING <br />CITY OF PARIS HISTORIC PRESERVATION COMMISSION <br />CITY OF PARIS CITY HALL <br />CITY COUNCIL CHAMBERS <br />107 E. KAUFMAN STREET <br />PARIS. TEXAS <br />MONDAY. MAY 9. 2007 <br />12:00 O'CLOCK P.M. <br /> <br />1. The Historic Preservation Commission meeting was called to order by <br />Chairman Arvin Starrett. <br /> <br />A. The following members were present: <br />Arvin Starrett, Chairman <br />Susan Scholz, Secretary <br />Sharron Nabors <br />Nancy Partridge <br />Pike Burkhart <br />Alternate: Brian Wear <br /> <br />The following members were absent: <br />Paul Denney, Vice-Chairman <br />Ann Rogers <br />Alternate: Vanessa Preston <br /> <br />B. Also present was Lisa A. Wright, Historic Preservation Officer. <br /> <br />2. Approval of minutes from previous meetings. Motion was made by Susan <br />Scholz, seconded by Pike Burkhart, to approve minutes from April 23, 2007. <br />Motion carried 6-0. <br /> <br />3. Consideration of and action on the following Certificate of Appropriateness: <br /> <br />A. 554 S. Main Street. Clifton Fendley. Motion was made to remove this <br />item from table by Brian Wear, seconded by Susan Scholz. Motion <br />carried 6-0. <br /> <br />Curtis Fendley, 554 Church Street, represented Clifton Fendley stating <br />there is a six foot chain link fence on south side and an eight foot chain <br />link fence on the west side of the property. Clifton plans to remove <br />those fences and put a wooden fence with a 1" x 6" fascia at the top <br />and bottom. Motion was made to approve the COA by Susan Scholz, <br />seconded by Nancy Partridge. Motion carried 6-0. <br /> <br />B. 554 Church Street. Curtis and Barbara Fendley. Mr. Fendley stated <br />that the 20' x 25' den will look like the front of the house. One window <br />shown on the drawing will actually be a fireplace instead to match the <br />one on the south side. Motion was made to approve the COA by Susan <br />Scholz, seconded by Pike Burkhart. Motion carried 6-0. <br /> <br />C. 122 Bonham Street. Danny Atnip. Motion was made to approve the <br />COA by Susan Scholz, seconded by Brian Wear. Motion carried 6-0. <br /> <br />r" "r <br />
