LAWERENCE OAKS, EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR LETTER OF AGREEMENT The city of Paris has the opportunity to participate in the Texas Main Street Program at the sustaining level. This Letter of Agreement represents your commitment to continue as an official Main Street city at the sustaining level for 2007. I. The following is a list of services your community will receive as a Main Street city at the sustaining level: A. Securing a Main Street Manager Should a replacement manager be needed, resumes of screened, qualified applicants will be provided to the city manager by request. B. Program Manager Training Specialists in the areas of organization, design, promotion and economic restructuring will provide training to local Main Street managers. The Texas Historical Commission (THC) shall provide five training opportunities. As an official Main Street city at the sustaining level you agree to send your Main Street manager to at least two of these training sessions each year: 1. Basic Training and Continuing Education and Development or Continuing Education and Development (January/February); 2. Texas Historical Commission Annual Conference in the spring; 3. Texas Downtown Association Mid-year Workshop in the spring; 4. Main Street Summer Workshop; and 5. Texas Downtown Association /Main Street Annual Conference (fall). 6. Another training opportunity is National Main Streets Conference in the spring. If a replacement manager who has not attended Main Street training is hired in a sustaining Main Street City, the Main Street manager will be required to attend the Texas Main Street Basic Training and Continuing Education and Development in January and February. A stipend for this training will be charged to the sustaining city. C. Main Street Program Network Main Street Matters, the Main Street electronic newsletter is sent each month to all Texas Main Street Cities. In addition, the Main Street manager is subscribed to the Main Street listserv, an email network available only to Texas Main Street cities. D. ServicelOn-site visits Upon request, on-site staff visits will be made by appointment during the year to the city of Paris. The type of assistance that may be requested includes strategic planning, board training, economic development, design and merchandising assistance. II. Responsibilities ofthe city of Paris: A.
