<br />C. The public hearing was declared closed. <br /> <br />9. Consideration of and action on the petition of Wesley Lester for a change in <br />zoning from a One-Family Dwelling District No. 2 (SF-2) to a One-Family <br />Dwelling District No.3 (SF-3) with a Specific Use Permit (39) Mobile Home on <br />Lot 7, block 1, Sperry's First Addition, being number 814 28th Street N.W. <br />Motion was made by Fran Neeley, seconded by Darin Manning, to approve the <br />request. Motion carried 6-0. <br /> <br />10. Public hearing to consider the petition of Thom and Tim DeWitt designating <br />certain structures as historic and establishing an Historic Overlay District <br />(HD-15) on Lot 7, City Block 135, being number 418 W. Washington. <br /> <br />The public hearing was declared-open. <br /> <br />A. The following individuals spoke in favor of the petition. <br /> <br />Tim DeWitt, 418 W. Washington, spoke in favor of the petition. Mr. <br />DeWitt stated he is requesting approval of the Historic Overlay. <br /> <br />Vicki Hindman, 308 W. Washington, spoke in favor of the petition. Ms. <br />Hindman stated she wants other houses in as well, and she asked how <br />to do this. . <br /> <br />Alton Sims spoke in favor. of the petition. Mr. Sims stated he owns <br />houses in the area and wondered if it affected him. He stated he <br />supports the petition and would like to see several houses that are <br />being restored zoned historical. <br /> <br />B. There was no opposition p"resent. <br /> <br />C. The public hearing was declared closed. <br /> <br />11. Public hearing to consider the Site Plan on Part of Lot 7, City Block 318, being <br />number 3025 Loop 286 N.E. <br /> <br />Public hearing was declared open. <br /> <br />Motion was made by Fran Neeley, seconded by Bobby Myers, to recuse <br />Reeves Hayter from items 12 and 13. Motion carried 5-0. <br /> <br />A. The following individuals spoke in favor of the petition. <br /> <br />Robert DeShay, 1431 Greenway Drive, Suite 915, Irving, Texas, spoke <br />in favor of the petition. Mr. DeShay was representing the <br />owner/developer of the Holiday Inn Express. <br /> <br />B. There was no opposition present. <br /> <br />--.-.....'W. <br />
