<br />MINUTES <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />CITY OF PARIS HISTORIC PRESERVATION COMMISSION <br />CITY OF PARIS CITY HALL <br />CITY COUNCIL CHAMBERS <br />107 E. KAUFMAN STREET <br />PARIS. TEXAS <br />MONDAY. AUGUST 27. 2007 <br />4:00 O'CLOCK P.M. <br /> <br />1. The Historic Preservation Commission meeting was called to order by Arvin <br />Starrett, Chairman. <br /> <br />A. The following members were present: <br />Arvin Starrett, Chairman <br />Susan Scholz, Secretary <br />Sharron Nabors <br />Ann Rogers <br />Paul Denney <br /> <br />The following members were absent: <br />Pike Burkhart <br />Nancy Partridge <br />Alternates: Vanessa Preston <br />Brian Wear <br /> <br />B. Also present were Lisa A. Wright, Historic Preservation Officer. <br /> <br />2. Approval of minutes from previous meetings. Motion was made by Susan <br />Scholz, seconded by Ann Rogers, to approve the minutes of the August 8, <br />2007 meeting. Motion carried 5-0. <br /> <br />3. Public hearing to receive citizen comments regarding declaring the following <br />property as a historic landmark: <br /> <br />A. Lot 7, City Block 135, being number 418 ~ Washington (Wise House) <br /> <br />Lisa Wright, Historic Preservation Officer, advised that the property <br />owners had made the request; however, they were stuck with movers <br />and were unable to make the meeting. <br /> <br />4. Consideration of and action on recommending that the following structure be <br />declared as a historic landmark and that the Secretary of the Interior's <br />Standards for the Treatment of Historic Properties be followed and applied to <br />all exterior rehabilitation of the property: <br /> <br />A. Lot 7, City Block 135, being number 418 ~ Washington (Wise House) <br />Motion was made by Susan Scholz, seconded by Paul Denney to <br />approve the recommendation. Motion carried 5-0. <br /> <br />5. Consideration of and action on awarding the following facade grant: <br /> <br />A. 136 Bonham Street - Bill Kirby - Arvin Starrett stated project still <br />incomplete, so they will be required to complete the entire project <br />
