Main Street <br />E. 10247 U Street N.E. <br />F. 10247 U Street N.E. <br />G. 1404 19th Street N. ~ <br />H. 2630 Pine Bluff <br />I. 2613 Lamar A venue <br />J. 1549 Grove Street <br /> <br />Motion was made by Ann Rogers, seconded by Susan Scholz, to send all <br />structures to the Building and Standards Commission for demolition since <br />they cannot be rehabilitated nor do they have significant historical value. <br />Motion carried 5-0. <br /> <br />7. Discussion of and possible action on selecting an honoree for the annual <br />preservationist award. <br /> <br />Arvin Starrett recommended Marvin Gorley, who has done extensive research <br />on the downtown, published a book about the downtown, and is a constant <br />source of information. He also recommended Becki Norment who has served <br />two terms on commission and is involved with the renovation of the Norment <br />and Castleberry building. <br /> <br />Ann Rogers recommended Barbara Wilson, who has shown interest in <br />Historic Preservation even after going off board She is also a fountain of <br />knowledge and spends her own money going around country to attend <br />preservation meetings to keep abreast of developments. Barbara Wilson <br />stated she appreciated the recommendation, but she feels like six months <br />from now things will be different where politics is not an issue, and she <br />prefers that we wait. <br />
