I (MF-I) TO <br />A MUL TIPLE-F AMIL Y DWELLING DISTRICT NO. 1 (MF-l) WITH A SPECIFIC <br />USE PERMIT (5) CEMETERY OR MAUSOLEUM DIRECTING A CHANGE <br />ACCORDINGL Y IN THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP OF THE CITY; PROVIDING <br />A REPEALER CLAUSE, A SAVINGS CLAUSE, A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE, A <br />PENAL TY CLAUSE, AND AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />Mayor Free1en opened the public hearing and asked for anyone speaking in favor of <br />this item to do so. Tim Davenport, Pastor for Central Presbyterian Church, 309 S. Church <br />Street, Paris, Texas, spoke in support ofthis item. Also, speaking on behalf of the Church <br />and in support of this item were Sybil Colson, 819 Lamar Avenue, Paris, Texas, and Dane <br />Lair, 3055 Aspen Drive, Paris, Texas. Mayor Freelen asked for anyone speaking against this <br />item to do so. ORDINANCE NO. 2007-046: AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF PARIS, TEXAS, APPROVING THE SITE PLAN FOR A PLANNED <br />DEVELOPMENT DISTRICT - RETAIL SHOPPING CENTER (PD-a), <br />PREVIOUSL Y ESTABLISHED BY THE ENACTMENT OF ZONING <br />ORDINANCE NO. 96-039, FOR LOT 4, BLOCK 8, SPRINGLAKE ADDITION; <br />MAKING OTHER FINDINGS AND PROVISIONS RELATED TO THE SUBJECT; <br />REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT <br />HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />Mayor Free1en opened the public hearing and asked for anyone speaking in favor of <br />this item to do so. A.W. Clem, 100 N. Main, attorney for the Chans, spoke in support ofthis <br />item. Mr. Clem said this requested zoning change had been sent back to the Planning and <br />Zoning Commission and they approved it. He told Council the building would house a frame <br />shop and office space. Mr. Clem said there would be no donut shop, nor a sliding window, <br />but there would be an exit onto 28th N.E. Street. Council Member Wilson expressed concern <br />about the back parking lot being a driveway and the ability to get in and out of one of the <br />parking spaces without driving on the grass.
