DECEMBER 3.2007 <br />5:30 O'CLOCK P.M. <br /> <br />1. The regular meeting of the Planning and Zoning Commission on Monday, <br />December 3,2007, was called to order at 5:30 p.m. by Richard Hunt, Acting <br />Chairman. <br /> <br />A. The following members were present: <br />Bobby Myers <br />Barbara Forrest <br />Richard Hunt <br />Fran Neeley <br />Benny Plata <br /> <br />B. The following members were absent: <br />Reeves Hayter, Chairman <br />Curtis Fendley, Vice-Chairman <br />Brad Archer <br />Darin Manning <br /> <br />C. Lisa Wright, Community Development Director, was also present. <br /> <br />2. Approval of minutes from previous meetings. Motion to approve the minutes <br />of the November 5, 2007, meeting was made by Benny Plata, seconded by <br />Bobby Myers. Motion carried 5-0. <br /> <br />3. Public Hearing to consider the petition of Peoples Bank for a change in zoning <br />from a One-Family Dwelling District No. 2 (SF-2) to a General Retail District <br />(GR) on Lot SA, City Block 286, being number 2870 E. Price Street. <br /> <br />The public hearing was declared open. <br /> <br />A. The following individuals spoke in favor of the petition. <br /> <br />Terry Christian, 2750 Willow Bend, spoke in favor of the petition. <br />Peoples Bank owns the lot between it and Liberty Bank to the back of <br />the Slaton property. The Bank will raze the apartments, extend the <br />drive-thru facility, and put an entrance on E. Price to reduce the <br /> <br />T r-T- --- <br />
