<br />Chairman Wilson asked if anyone had a problem with the changes thus far. There were none. <br />Chairman Wilson asked for a vote on the above-referenced amendments. A Motion to approve Draft <br />#4, with the amendments stated above was made by Steve Brown and seconded by Cheryt Moore. <br />Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Chairman Wilson reviewed with the Committee the changes with regard to affirmative <br />defense. <br /> <br />(2) It shall be an affirmative defense to prosecution was changed to "It shall be an <br />exception to the above": <br /> <br />b.2. This sentence will read as follows: "That such storage is not located in the front <br />yard." <br /> <br />b.3. The word "consecutive" will be deleted. <br /> <br />b.4 The word "consecutive" will be deleted. <br /> <br />g. Will be deleted in its entirety. <br /> <br />Chairman Wilson asked if anyone had a problem with the changes made to the exceptions as <br />listed above. There were none. Chairman Wilson asked for a vote on the modifications. A Motion <br />to approve the modifications set out in (2) was made by Jim Lassister and seconded by Bee Garmon. <br />Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Chairman Wilson moved to page 5 and addressed the section dealing with garage sales. He <br />clarified that a person could not have more than three garage sales in twelve months and the garage <br />sale could be no longer than seventy-two hours in duration. Chairman Wilson encouraged the <br />Committee to make a recommendation to the City Council asking them to adopt the changes <br />clarifying this provisions. A Motion to amend Section 15-2, as written in Draft #4 was made by <br />Charles Richards and seconded by Bruce Frazier. Li2ht Industrial <br />(LI). and Heavv Industrial (HI Districts <br /> <br />Several members expressed concern over bA. and the effect on local businesses [No area <br />designated for off-street parking may be used for outside storage or display of merchandise]. Lisa <br />Wright advised that the Zoning Ordinance would prohibit this. After further discussion, the <br />Committee decided to delete bA. in its entirety. A Motion to approve the amendments in this section <br />was made by Charles Richards and seconded by Bee Garmon. Motion carried unanimously. <br />
