MINUTES <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />CITY OF PARIS HISTORIC PRESERVATION COMMISSION <br />MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 24, 2007 <br />4:00 0'CLOCK P.M. <br />1. The Historic Preservation Commission meeting was called to order by Arvin <br />Starrett, Chairman. <br />A. The following members were present: <br />Arvin Starrett, Chairman <br />Ann Rogers <br />Paul Denney <br />Pike Burkhart <br />Sharron Nabors <br />Susan Scholz <br />Jerry Raper, Alternate <br />The following members were absent: <br />Nancy Partridge <br />B. Also present was Lisa A. Wright, Historic Preservation Officer. <br />2. Election of officers for the upcoming year. <br />A. Chairman - Motion was made by Paul Denney, seconded by Pike <br />Burkhart, to re-elect Arvin Starrett. Motion carried 6-0. <br />8. Vice-Chairman - Motion was made by Ann Rogers, seconded by Susan <br />Scholz, to elect Pike Burkhart. Motion carried 6-0. <br />C. Secrefary - Motion was made by Paul Denney, seconded by Pike <br />Burkhart, to elect Susan Scholz. Motion carried 6-0. <br />3. Approval of minutes from previous meefings. Motion was made by Ann <br />Rogers, seconded by Jerry Raper, to approve the minutes of the September <br />12, 2007, meeting. Motion carried 7-0. <br />4. Considerafion of and action on the following Certificate of Appropriateness: <br />A. 7111sf Street S.W. - Joyce Freeman - Ms. Freeman stated the roof will <br />be the same style, just a different color. Motion was made by Susan <br />Scholz, seconded by Paul Denney, to approve the COA. Motion carried <br />7-0. <br />8. 111 Lamar Ave. - Josiah Daniel - Arvin Starrett stated there is a new <br />facade constructed on the inside of the exterior wall. Lisa Wright <br />stated that no building permit was issued, so they did not know about <br />this until someone drove by and saw it. Arvin Starrett advised that this <br />is interior work with the intention that it will be an exterior facade when <br />the old facade is removed. The facade follows the historic setback <br />lines. In the application, they propose to remove the glass and <br />aluminum and widen the brick to turn into planters; however, this <br />r _ _ . _ . _.T , . <br />
