would be an alteration of the building since the planters were not <br />original. Mr. Starrett further stated we can table this item since no one <br />is present or approve on the condition that there be a total removal of <br />the existing facade, brick included. Motion was made by Pike Burkhart, <br />seconded by Jerry Raper, to approve COA with the condition that all of <br />the contemporary front, including brick, will be removed. Motion <br />carried 7-0. <br />5. Discussion of and possib/e action regarding the following structure <br />considered by code inspecfors to be in violation of Article lll of Chapter 7 of <br />the Code of Ordinances of the City of Paris, Paris, Texas, entitled <br />"Substandard and Dangerous Buildings and Structures," to determine <br />whether such structure can be rehabilitated and designated on the National <br />Register of Historic P/aces, as a recorded Texas Historic Landmark, or as <br />historic property as designated by the City Council of fhe City of Paris: <br />A. 465 1st Street N.E. - Motion was made by Pike Burkhart, seconded by <br />Susan Scholz, to send the structure to the Building and Standards <br />Commission for demolition since it cannot be rehabilitated. Motion <br />carried 7-0. <br />6. Discussion of and possible action on recommending provisions related to <br />demolition by neglect and/or the adoption of the International Property <br />Maintenance Code. Lisa Wright went through the code. The Commission <br />asked that this be placed on a future agenda with recommended local <br />revisions so that the Commission could send this to the Code Enforcement <br />Task Force for consideration. <br />7. Consideration of and action on sending a Commission member to the <br />Traditional Building Exhibition on October 16 through 20, 2007. Motion was <br />made by Jerry Raper, seconded by Ann Rogers, to approve. Motion carried <br />7-0. Chairman Starrett advised any members who were interested to contact <br />Lisa Wright <br />8. Request items for future agendas. International Property Maintenance Code <br />revisions. <br />9.
