GENERAL DESCRIPTION: <br />Brief Job Description: <br />Under the supervision of the Paris-Lamar County Health Department Administrator, functions <br />as a member of the Paris-Lamar County Health Department Team. Provide technical assistance <br />to community leaders on strengthening local public health systems and building local capacity <br />for public health. Consult with the community to conduct public health system assessment, <br />assessment of health disparities, development of health improvement plans, program <br />development, implementation and evaluation. Performs duties that support local issues such as <br />adopting Healthy People 2010 objectives, increasing local capacity to carry out public <br />health essential functions and coordinates and collaborates activities with staff and other local <br />programs, and other partners in the community. Support the agency's goals, priorities and <br />strategic plan. <br />IV. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: <br />List in order of importance the essential job functions. <br />30% Works with community stakeholders to facilitate development of local community <br />partnerships. Mobilize community partnerships to identify and solve health problems. Provides <br />leadership to assist community agencies with needs assessments, strategic planning, and <br />capacity building. Schedules and presides at regular meetings of agencies providing health- <br />related services and maintains meeting minutes. Participate in data collection and analysis. <br />Provide data in readable form to advisory boards of health, coalitions, and other professionals <br />with recommendations for action strategies.
