Since that time staff has promoted the new policies and <br />solicited applications through Council Members, the city website, committee meetings, <br />civic club presentations, radio ads, and radio interviews. As a reminder, the new process <br />will synchronize all appointments to one date (as opposed to the old process of several <br />times a year). Consequently, Council will need to make appointments for two one-year <br />terms, two two-year terms, and three, three-year terms in order to get the cycle started <br />(see "Transition" section of the accompanying policies and procedures document).
