CITY COUNCIL AGENDA Notice is hereby given that the City Council of the City of Paris shall meet in regular session on Tuesday, May 27, 2008 at 6:00 p.m. The meeting will be held at the City Council Chamber, 107 E. Kaufinan Street, in Paris, Texas. The matters to be discussed and acted upon are as follows: Opening Agenda 1. Call meeting to order. 2. Invocation. 3. Pledge of Allegiance. 4. Citizens' forum. (Persons desiring to address the Council must limit their presentation to no more than two minutes. The Texas Open Meetings Act prohibits the Council from responding to any comments other than to refer the matter to a future agenda, to an existing policy, or to a staff person with specific factual information. Claims against the City, Council Members, or employees, as well as individual personnel appeals are not appropriate for citizens' forum.) Consent Agenda Items on the Consent Agenda are approved by a single action of the Council, with such approval applicable to all items appearing on the Consent Agenda. A Council Member may request any item to be removed from the Consent Agenda and considered as a separate item. 5. Deliberate and act on the approval of minutes from the meetings on May 12, 2008 and May 20, 2008. 6. Receive and deliberate on reports and/or minutes from the following boards, commissions, and committees: a. Joint City Council and City Council Task Force on Code Enforcement minutes from the meeting on May 6, 2008. b. Lake Pat Mayse Water Study Committee minutes. (5-1-08) c. Historic Preservation Commission minutes. (1-28-08; 2-13-08; 3-12-08; 3-24-08) d. Building and Standards Commission minutes. (2-18-08) 7. Deliberate and acceptance of April financial report. 8. Deliberate and act on a resolution approving and authorizing the City Manager to execute a professional services contract with HDR Engineering, Inc. for water supply planning consulting services, and authorizing the City Manager to negotiate and execute all necessary documents. 9. Deliberate and act on appointment to the Code Enforcement Task Force.
