Mr. Hunt stated they will be replacing or repairing <br />rotten wood on building and will approve colors at a later date. He will <br />try and save the windows because of the leaded glass, but some are <br />too far gone. <br />Paul Denney stated he preferred to see the wood windows preserved <br />on the sunhoom. Richard Hunt stated he will have window sample <br />soon, but he does not have roofing samples today. He further stated <br />he is two months away from being ready for that. Mr. Hunt <br />recommended the Commissioners look at the Fendley house to see the <br />roof proposed. Motion was made by Susan Scholz, seconded by Ann <br />Rogers, to approve the COA for all but the roof and windows. Motion <br />carried 7-0. <br />B. 137 S. Main Street - Aaron Raper - M r. Raper stated he was there to get <br />approval for the facade. Paul Denney asked if the windows went all the <br />way to the ground, and Mr. Raper stated yes. Arvin Starrett stated that, <br />regarding the canopy, he will have to bring back more detail before <br />approval. Motion was made by Susan Scholz, seconded by Ann <br />Rogers, to approve the COA. Motion carried 7-0. <br />5. Consideration of and action on recommending approval of the following <br />request for tax exemption: <br />A. 574 Church Street - Judy Shaffer, Motion was made by Susan Scholz, <br />seconded by Jerry Raper, to approve request for tax exemption. <br />Sharron Nabors stated she is opposed to these tax exemptions <br />because the City needs the money. Motion carried 6-1. <br />6. Consideration of and action on awarding the following facade grant. <br />A. 137 S. Main Street - Aaron Raper, Motion was made by Ben Vaughan, <br />seconded by Susan Scholz, to approve the facade grant. Motion <br />carried 7-0. <br />7. Request items for future agendas.
