The meeting was adjourned at 7:45 p.m.
7. Approval of minutes from previous meetings. (May 8, 2008)
A Motion to approve the minutes was made by Bee Garmon and seconded by Council
Member Biard. Motion carried unanimously.
8. Continued discussion of and possible action on recommending revisions to the ordinance
regulating large animals within the city limits.
The Committee did not reach this item.
9. Continued discussion of and possible action on recommending the adoption of a
comprehensive parking ordinance.
Lisa Wright went over the changes previously requested by the Committee. Ms. Wright
specificallyreferred to item 2 under Section 10-110. She stated that she felt the intention ofthe Task
Force was to allow people to maintain their existing driveways no matter what type of material they
were made from; however, the recommended wording from the last meeting would not accomplish
that. A Motion to make existing driveways non-conforming was made by Council Member Biard
and seconded by Marilyn Bellevance. There was discussion as to whether or not this section referred
to residences and businesses alike. A Motion to make existing residential driveways non-conforming
was made by Council Member Biard and seconded by Council Member Brown. Motion carried
unanimously.
10. Continued discussion of and possible action on recommending provisions regulating the
storage and placement of recreational vehicles.
The Committee did not reach this item.
11. Request items for future agendas.
Chairman Wilson announced the next Task Force meeting would be Tuesday, June 3, 2008,
at 5:00 p.m. He asked staff to place item 10 as the first item to be discussed on the next Agenda.
Chairman Wilson stated the Task Force would need to make sure they had a chairman for the next
meeting, because he had served in his capacity as a Council Member. Kevin Carruth said there
would be an item on the next City Council Agenda asking that Chairman Wilson be re-appointed to
serve on the Task Force until completion. Lisa Wright advised the Task Force that the next meeting
would likely be their last meeting, because they addressed every item established from their initial
meeting.
12. Adjoumment.
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 7:00 p.m.
000f?17
