2002-058-RES ACCEPT PROPOSAL OF HAYTER ENGINEERING SERVICES FOR WORK ON STILLHOUSE REALIGNMENT

RESOLUTION NO. 2002-058 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, ACCEPTING THE PROPOSAL OF HAYTER ENGINEERING FOR ENGINEERING SERVICES FOR PRELIMINARY WORK FOR THE REALIGNMENT OF STILLHOUSE ROAD AND AUTHORIZING AN ENGINEERING SERVICES CONTRACT; MAKING OTHER FINDINGS AND PROVISIONS RELATED TO THE SUBJECT; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the City of Paris is in need of engineering services for preliminary work for the realignment of Stillhouse Road; and, WHEREAS, Hayter Engineering has made a proposal to perform such services, and the City Council finds and determines that said proposal is acceptable and Hayter Engineering should be awarded an engineering services contract for the same; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS: Section 1. That the findings set out in the preamble to this resolution are hereby in all things approved. Section 2. That the proposal of Hayter Engineering, attached hereto as Exhibit A, be, and the same is hereby, accepted. Section 3. That the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to execute, on behalf of the City of Paris, an engineering services contract with Hayter Engineering, under the terms and conditions and in a form approved by the City Attorney, for preliminary work for the realignment of Stillhouse Road.
