<br /> <br /> MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE PARIS ECONOMIC <br /> DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION <br /> November 19, 2003 <br /> <br /> The Paris Economic Development Corporation met in regular session on <br /> Thursday, November 19, 2003, 4:00 P. M., at Paris Junior College, Bobby R. <br /> Walters Applied Technology Building, Room 1206, 2400 Clarksville Street, <br /> Paris, Texas. President Don Wall called the meeting to order with the following <br /> Directors present: Sims Norment, Richard Severson, and Rodney Bass. Also, <br /> present was Executive Director Gary Vest, Ex-officio Member Pam Anglin, <br /> Mayor Curtis Fendley, Ex-officio Member Tanis Hager, City Manager Michael <br /> E. Malone, and City Clerk Mattie Cunningham. <br /> <br />President Wall called for the approval ofthe minutes from the previous meetings <br />of October 9, 2003, and October 27, 2003. A motion was made by Director <br />'Norment, seconded by Director Bass, for approval of the minutes. The motion <br />carried unanimously. <br /> <br /> President Wall called for the financial report. <br /> <br /> Mattie Cunningham, City Clerk, advised the Board that Mr. Anderson had to <br /> make another meeting and he has furnished the Board with the September and <br /> October Cash Flow Statement along with the Sales Tax Report for the month of <br /> November. <br /> <br /> President Wall announced that the next item on the agenda was the Director's <br /> report. <br /> <br />Gary Vest reviewed the news about the loss of the Campbell Soup expansion and <br />provided information as to why we did not get the project. <br /> <br />Mr. Vest also reported on "Project Reserve," explaining that we made the first cut <br />and the prospect has cut the selection down to six cities. He said that Mike <br />Mullus, who is the site consultant, was having a meeting with the company. Mr. <br />Mullus said he would let the PEDC know today, as they were going to try to cut <br />the sites down to three cities, and they will revisit those three cities. Mr. Vest <br />advised that he called to check with his contact, Pat Jamison with Oncor, and Mr. <br /> <br /> <br />
