MINUTES <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />CITY OF PARIS HISTORIC PRESERVATION COMMISSION <br />MONDAY, JUNE 23, 2008 <br />4:00 0'CLOCK P.M. <br />The Historic Preservation Commission meeting was called to order by Arvin Starrett, Chairman. <br />A. The following members were present: <br />Arvin Starrett, Chairman <br />Pike Burkhart, Vice-Chairman <br />Paul Denney <br />Ben Vaughan, Alternate <br />Jerry Raper, Alternate <br />B. The following members were absent: <br />Nancy Partridge <br />Ann Rogers <br />Sharron Nabors <br />C. Also present was Lisa A. Wright, Historic Preservation Officer. <br />2. Approval of minutes.from previous meetings. Motion was made by Pike Burkhart, seconded <br />by Paul Denney, to approve the minutes of June 11, 2008. Motion carried 5-0. <br />3. Consideration of and action on the following Certificates of Appropriateness: <br />a. 913 Church Street - Ben M. Vaughan - This item was skipped because there <br />would be no quorum if Pike Burkhart and Ben Vaughan recused themselves. <br />b. 1110 Church Street - Ben M. Vaughan - This item was skipped because there <br />would be no quorum if Pike Burkhart and Ben Vaughan recused themselves. <br />c. 840 S. Main Street - Karen Lodes - Motion was made by Paul Denney, <br />seconded by Ben Vaughan, to approve either option; (1) get a solid-core door <br />and route lines into it (she likes her current door and would prefer to keep in) <br />or (2) the proposed door with plain glass and a screen door. Motion carried <br />5-0. <br />4. Request items for future agendas. Items 3A and 3B at a Special Meeting to be held on <br />Monday, June 30, 2008; 12:00 p.m. <br />5.
