ORDINANCE NO. 2001-035 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, AMENDING ARTICLE III TO CHAPTER 23, SECTION 23- 77 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF PARIS TO REVISE THE RATES FOR DAILY PASSES, DAILY PASS GROUP RATES, AND DAY CARE RATES FOR THE USE OF THE CITY OF PARIS AQUATIC FACILITY; ADOPTING A NEW ARTICLE IV TO CHAPTER 23 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES ENTITLED REGULATIONS AND FEES FOR IN- PARK PROGRAMS; MAKING OTHER FINDINGS AND PROVISIONS RELATED TO THE SUBJECT; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, Article III to Chapter 23 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Paris, at Section 23- 77, establishes fees for daily passes, daily pass group rates, and day care group rates for use of the City of Paris aquatic facilities; and, WHEREAS, the Director of the Parks and Recreation Department has identified the need to increase said rate to enable the City to recover its cost in operating the aquatic facilities; and, WHEREAS, the City likewise conducts various other programs in its various parks other than the aquatic facilities; and, WHEREAS, the City Council desires to authorize the Director of Parks and Recreation to promulgate rules and regulations for the conduct of such programs in the City's parks and to assess appropriate fees in a manner similar to those rules and regulations authorized for the use of the City's aquatic facility and the adopted fees similar to those fees authorized for use of the City's aquatic facility; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS: Section 1. That the findings set out in the preamble to this ordinance are hereby in all things approved. Section 2. That Sections 23-77(a) (1),(2), and (6) of Article III, Chapter 23 of the Code of ordinances of the City of Paris, Paris, Texas, are hereby in all things amended to increase the rates for daily passes, daily pass group rates, and day care group rates at the City of Paris aquatic facility, such revised rate schedules and amended provisions of Section 23-77 to read as follows: "Sec. 23-77. Fees and requirements for rental.
