<br />DOWN-SPOUTS.
<br />
<br />AN ORDINANCE regulating the placing of down,spouts,
<br />

<br />Be it ordained by the dty coundlof the dry of Parz's:
<br />
<br />SEC. 1. That it is hereby made the duty of every owner of
<br />any building fronting or abutting on any sidewalk in this city,
<br />where the water from the roof of such builfIing pours over such
<br />sidewalk, to attach a down-spout to the gutter so conveying the
<br />water and carry the said down-spout to the curbing and at the
<br />lowest end of such down-spout to turn an elbow so that the water
<br />will not strike the pavement with its fuÌl force, a~d any person
<br />failing or refusing to put in such down-spout shall be guilty of a
<br />misdemeanor, and upon conviction, shall be fined not less than
<br />five nor more than twenty-five dollars, and~ach day any sue£¡
<br />building shall remain without such down-spovUshaÜ be a separate
<br />offense.
<br />SEC. 2. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force from
<br />and after its passage and ten days publication.
