<br />ORDINANCE NO. 2004-043 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, <br />PARIS, TEXAS, PROVIDING FOR THE EXTENSION OF CERTAIN <br />BOUNDARY LIMITS OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, AND THE <br />ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN TERRITORY CONSISTING OF 3.662 <br />ACRES, MORE OR LESS, AS REQUESTED BY PETITION OF THE <br />OWNERS THEREOF; GRANTING TO SAID TERRITORY AND TO ALL <br />FUTURE INHABITANTS OF SAID PROPERTY ALL OF THE RIGHTS <br />AND PRIVILEGES OF OTHER CITIZENS AND BINDING SAID FUTURE <br />INHABITANTS BY ALL OF THE ACTS AND ORDINANCES OF THE CITY <br />OF PARIS; MAKING OTHER FINDINGS AND PROVISIONS RELATED <br />TO THE SUBJECT; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF <br />ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING AN <br />EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a petition of annexation has been duly signed and acknowledged by each and <br />every person or corporation having an interest in the following described territory, to-wit: <br /> <br />Being all that certain tract ofland situated in the City of Paris, Lamar County, Texas, <br />a part of the Wesley Askins Survey, Abstract #7, conveyed to Wayne D. Brown by deed <br />recorded in Volume 1240, Page 25, of the Lamar County Real Property Records and being <br />further described as follows: <br />Beginning at an iron pin found for comer in the North Line of Abby Lane, <br />and in the center of a creek, said being the most Southerly Southwest comer of a tract <br />of land conveyed to Bradley K. Drake and wife, Julie L. Drake by deed recorded in <br />Volume 1110, Page 294, of the Lamar County Real Property Records; <br />Thence South 45038'18" West along the South line of Brown tract and along <br />the North line of Abby Lane a distance of 175.00 feet to an iron pin set for the <br />Easterly Southeast comer of a tract of land conveyed to Michael S. Kennedy and <br />wife, Jana F. Kennedy by deed recorded in Volume to07, Page 327, of the Lamar <br />County Real Property Records; <br />Thence North 44022' West along the Southwest line of Brown tract to the <br />most Westerly comer of Brown tract and along the most Easterly line of said <br />Kennedy in all a distance of 599.63 feet to an iron pin found in the South line of a <br />tract of land conveyed to Wayne D. Brown by deed recorded in Volume 949, Page <br />296, of the Lamar County Real Property Records; <br />Thence North 28037' East a distance of207.09 feet to an iron pin found for <br />comer in the center of said creek; <br />Thence Southeasterly generally with the center of said creek the following: <br />South 750 13' 59" East a distance of 150.99 feet; <br />North 50033' 20" East a distance of23.85 feet; <br />South 73055' 55" East a distance of61.14 feet; <br />North 880 13' 17" East a distance of38.34 feet; <br />
