<br />South 310 18' 27" East a distance of 38.21 feet; <br />South 190 31' 47" East a distance of 21.07 feet; <br />South 17042' 23" West a distance of 48.93 feet; <br />South 4048' West a distance of 59.88 feet; <br />South 300 27' 03" East a distance of53.16 feet; <br />South 11023' 35" East a distance of 52.37 feet; <br />South 430 51 '58" East a distance of 176.41 feet; <br />South 140 37' 01" East a distance of 68.1 0 feet to the place of beginning <br />containing 3.662 acres of land; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said tract ofland is contiguous and adjacent to the current city limits of the city <br />of Paris, Texas, and is not more than one-half (112) mile in width; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said petition fully conformed with the requirements of Section 6 of the Charter <br />of the City of Paris and Section 43.028 of the Local Government Code; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said petition was presented to the City Council on the 12th day of July, 2004; <br /> <br />and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, after hearing such petition and the arguments for and against the same, the City <br />Council adopted Resolution No. 2004-123 granting such petition to annex said territory into the city <br />of Paris, Texas; NOW, THEREFORE, <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, <br />TEXAS: <br /> <br />Section 1. That the findings set out in the preamble to this ordinance are hereby in all things <br />approved. <br /> <br />Section 2. That the following described property, to-wit: <br /> <br />Being all that certain tract ofland situated in the City of Paris, Lamar County, Texas, <br />a part of the Wesley Askins Survey, Abstract #7, conveyed to Wayne D. Brown by deed <br />recorded in Volume 1240, Page 25, of the Lamar County Real Property Records and being <br />further described as follows: <br />Beginning at an iron pin found for comer in the North Line of Abby Lane, <br />and in the center of a creek, said being the most Southerly Southwest comer of a tract <br />of land conveyed to Bradley K. Drake and wife, Julie L. Drake by deed recorded in <br />Volume 1110, Page 294, of the Lamar County Real Property Records; <br />Thence South 45038'18" West along the South line of Brown tract and along <br />the North line of Abby Lane a distance of 175.00 feet to an iron pin set for the <br />Easterly Southeast comer of a tract of land conveyed to Michael S. Kennedy and <br />wife, Jana F. Kennedy by deed recorded in Volume 1007, Page 327, of the Lamar <br />County Real Property Records; <br />
