CERTIFICATE OF SUFFICIENCY PARIS FIRE DEPARTMENT PAY RAISE PETITION To the City Council of the City of Paris and the Committee of Petitioners of the petition filed with the City Clerk of the City of Paris on June 13, 2002, petitioning the Paris City Council to increase the minimum salary of each member of the Paris Fire Department, effective on October 1, 2002. I, Mattie Cunningham, City Clerk of the City of Paris, Paris, Texas do hereby certify that I received the petition as stated above, containing 545 signatures. For this petition to be sufficient, it had to contain signatures of at least 25%) of qualified voters that voted in the last city-wide election. The last city-wide election was held on January 20, 1996. There were 901 voters who voted in that election and 25%) of 901 is 225, which is the required number of signatures o~,.qualified voters needed for this petition to be sufficient as far as number of signatures required.
