Fr.... an4 Nichola practical results PROJECT SECURITY AWWA Non-Disclosure Agreement In order to complete the Risk Assessment Methodology for Water training, each engineer must enter into the nondisclosure agreement with AWWA. Tina E. Hanson, P.E., Hisham Musallam, P.E., Reed Meriwether, P.E. and Samuel Higgins, engineer, have each entered into this agreement, as has FNI. Document File Transfer FNI is a private corporation and as such is not subject to the Freedom of Information Act (Sunshine Laws). Project materials maintained and stored by FNI are not required to be released to the public. Recent Texas legislation protects V As from Sunshine Laws. All draft working documents prepared for the City will be marked "confidential" and a document distribution list maintained. Employee Screening Procedures FNI maintains a professional human resources staff that is responsible for conducting employee screening prior to hire. References and employment eligibility are verified as required by Immigration and Naturalization Service Form 1-9. Any misrepresentation made by an employee when completing the employment application is considered sufficient cause for dismissal. FNI also has a Sergeant with the Fort Worth police department reserve on staff. At the City's request, additional employee screening can be conducted. The foundation of FNI is based on ethical practice. In order to accomplish this goal, FNI is committed to working with our clients in an ethical and professional manner. This requires every employee be equally committed to ethics and perform their job with high standards of ethics. FNI has a written code of ethics that outlines corporate responsibilities, business responsibilities, and personal responsibilities including confidentiality of information. FNI also has formal written policies on weapons and drug and alcohol abuse. Document and File Security and Control Plan FNI has prepared VAs for thirteen large and medium-size water systems in Texas. In order to maintain security of the information, FNI developed a document and file security and control plan. Each member of the project team signs a nondisclosure statement and is required to adhere to the document, file security and control plan for the project. Electronic File Maintenance The FNI network has several security features to prevent intrusion such as firewalls and proxy servers. Within our network, file security is maintained by allowing access for only certain users on each project. Files on the network are backed up twice a day and maintained for a week, For extremely sensitive files, encryption or a stand-alone computer and printer can be used, A stand-alone computer and printer were used for all VAs conducted by FNI. Electronic files from the stand-alone computer are archived at the end of the project and placed in secure storage along with the hard copy files.
