He manages <br />the Computer Services Operations. His responsibilities include planning, budgeting, <br />purchasing, installation of hardware and software, repairs, file management and <br />inventories. Mr. Humphrey also designed and implemented the Wide-Area Network <br />and Local-Area Network for the local offices. <br /> <br />Project Experience: <br /> <br />Vulnerability Assessments - Brown County WID# 1, Cities of Abilene, <br />Beaumont, Carrol/ton, Denton, Gar/and, Irving, Piano, North Richland Hil/s and <br />Son Angelo, Texas - Assessments as to the vulnerability of SCADA systems to <br />bioterrorism, according to the H.R. 3448 Bioterrorism Act. The assessments <br />included reviews of physical protection features and cyber protection features <br />including firewalls, proxy servers and other security and intrusion detection devices <br />used to prevent unauthorized access to equipment and data, Port scans and the use <br />of routable and non-routable Internet protocol (IP) addresses were studied to identify <br />exposed systems. The level of security patches, encryption schemes and security <br />logging were also investigated. Reviewed password policies, file and folder <br />permissions, user/group privileges and equipment/data access. <br /> <br />Computer System Design - Dol/as/Fort Worth Airport, Texas - Project manager <br />for computer system consultation, design and installation for the Airport <br />Development Department. The project involved the conversion of the departments <br />network from Novell NetWare to a Windows NT based system, Workstations, a <br />network server and a variety of software were specified, ordered and placed into <br />service. Interfaces to a Banyan Vines and Unix network were included. <br /> <br />WAN Implementation - Freese and Nichols, Fort Worth, Texas - Implemented a <br />Wide-Area Network (WAN) for eight local offices. The WAN is a Virtual Private <br />Network (VPN) utilizing routers based on the Linux operating system and Pentium <br />computers, Ipsec encryption and Internet Service providers (ISPs). Various <br />combinations of broadband technologies were used that included Tl lines, <br />Integrated Services Digital Network (ISDN) and Digital Subscriber Line (DSL). <br /> <br />TCP/IP Network - Freese and Nichols, Fort Worth, Texas - Installed and maintains <br />a TCP/IP network of approximately 290 workstations and 20 servers at nine local <br />offices. This project included the use of the Windows (95/98/NTI2000), Linux and <br />Open VMS operating systems.
