City Council .'"', --~ <br /> General Government -'~ <br /> <br /> The City Council is the legislative body of the City. As the elected representatives of the citizens, <br /> the Council adopts Ordinances, Resolutions, and Budgets pursuant to providing the services of the <br /> City for the welfare and benefit of the citizens. <br /> <br /> 12 <br /> Administrative <br /> General Government <br /> <br />The City Manager is the chief executive officer and the 'head of the administrative branch of the city <br />government. He is responsible to the city council for directing the overall affairs of the City. <br /> <br /> 13 <br /> City Attorney <br /> General Government <br /> <br />The City Attomey is the legal advisor to the City department and to the City Council. Personnel of <br />this department provide legal advice, prepare ordinances, contracts, and all other legal instruments. <br />The City Attorney serves as prosecutor in the Municipal Court and provides administrative <br />supervision to employees of the Municipal Court. <br /> <br /> 14 <br /> Municipal Court <br /> General Government <br /> <br />The Municipal Court consists of a Municipal Judge, a Municipal Court Clerk, and other clerical <br />assistants to conduct the business of the Municipal Court. <br /> <br /> 15 <br /> City Clerk <br /> General Government <br /> <br />The City Clerk serves as custodian Of the Corporate Seal, prepares and maintains City Council <br />minutes, maintains official records, Ordinances, Resolutions and related materials and documents <br />of the City. Prepares, posts and advertises notice of official meetings and legal notices as legally <br />requires. The City Clerk conducts City elections. <br /> <br /> <br />
