<br />Division 49 <br />Garage <br />The Director of Public Works is the administrative officer for this division of the Public Works <br />Department. Employees of this division are responsible for the maintenance and servicing of City <br />owned vehicles, equipment, and machinery. <br />Department 54 <br />Emergency Medical Service <br />The Fire Chief is the administrative officer for this department. Employees of this department <br />provide emergency and non-emergency ambulance service within the City and to the rural areas, <br />and other cities of Lamar County through a contractual relationship with Lamar County. Long: <br />distance ambulance transportation is provided for patients requiring treatment or facilities not' <br />available in Paris. Two ambulances are staffed and equipped at the Mobile Intensive Care Unit: <br />level 24 hours-a-day. A third ambulance provides non-emergency transportation from 8:00 a.m. <br />through 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. A call crew is available 24 hours-a-day by beeper. <br />Office personnel of this .Qepartment are responsible for the billing and collection of the EM:S. <br />accounts receivable. The EM.S. Department coordinates, trains and promotes the First Responder ¡ <br />Program throughout Lamar County and also promotes the Think Child Safety Program, Think: <br />Senior Safety Program, and the Mobile Safety Vehicle Program. ¡ <br /> I <br />Department 61 <br />Cox Field Airport <br />The City Manager is the administrative officer responsible for this department. Cox Field is the City <br />owned and operated municipal airport. Airport facilities are maintained for commercial and general <br />aviation activities and are an important asset in promoting business and industrial economic activity <br />in the community. More than eighty percent of flight operations at Cox Field are business related. : <br />The airport provides transportation opportunities for the medical community and for several large I <br />corporations that have plants in Paris. Cox Field Airport collects revenues from fuel sales by the I <br />fixed base operator who leases space from the City and from the rental of hangers. Most of the <br />funding for maintenance of the facilities is provided by the Federal Aviation Administration and by <br />the Texas Department of Transportation, Aviation Division. <br />Department 62 <br />Paris Municipal Band <br />The City Manager is the administrative officer responsible for this department. The Paris Municipal <br />Band is a tradition in Paris going back over fifty years. Talented local musicians perform throughout <br />the summer months with frequent guest arti~ts making appearances. Paris is one of a very few <br />towns which continues to fund a municipal band. ' <br />6 <br />
