This report contains the results from the area we define as the <br />Northeast Texas Region. including the following Texas COlmty's: <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Hopkins <br />Hunt <br />Lamar <br />Delta <br />Including a sampling from the City of Hugo, Oklahoma <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />The findings in the study were obtained from a statistical survey sampling of 0=1,175 people, who are <br />between 16 and 75 years of age, and looking/willing/able to work. All responses to this survey were <br />gathered between January 31 and February 15 of2002. <br /> <br />The Workforce Availability Survey and Analysis required the efforts of a team of specialists ranging from <br />economic developers to statisticians (see Credentials Tab). These experts constructed the sufŸey in <br />conjunction with the Paris Economic Development Corporation. Telephone interviews were conducted by <br />DSS Research in Arlington, Texas (see Credentials Tab). <br /> <br />DSS Research selected simple random samples from computer generated lists for the area, to ensure that <br />the samples were representative of the population and workforce in the Region.
