Wright, Director of <br />Community Development <br />Agenda Item No.: <br />12. <br />RECOMMENDED MOTION: <br />Move to approve a proclamation declaring the month of April as Fair Housing Month. <br />PoLicY IssuE(s): <br />Grant Requirement <br />BACKGROUND: <br />On August 27, 2007, the City Council approved the application for and acceptance of a grant from the <br />Texas Department of Economic Development Main Street Program for sidewalk and other <br />improvements in the Downtown area. On May 21, 2008, the City of Paris was awarded a grant in the <br />amount of $150,000.00, with the City of Paris pledging $65,000.00 in cash and in-kind services.
