MINUTES <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />CITY OF PARIS HISTORIC PRESERVATION COMMISSION <br />WEDNESDAY, MARCH 11, 2009 <br />12:00 0'CLOCK P.M. <br />l. The Historic Preservation Commission ineeting was called to order by Paul Denney, <br />Vice-Chairman. <br />A. The following members were present: <br />Paul Denney, Vice-Chairman <br />Ben Vaughan <br />Jerry Raper <br />Matt Coyle <br />B. The following members were absent: <br />Arvin Starrett, Chairman <br />Brad Archer <br />Susan Scholz, Secretary <br />C. Also present was Robert Talley, Code Enforcement Officer. <br />2. Approval of minutes,from previous meetings (February 23, 2009) <br />Motian was made by Jerry Raper, seconded by Matt Coyle to approve February 23, 2009 <br />minutes. Motion carried unanimously. <br />3. Consideration of and action on the following Certi ficate of Appropriateness: <br />A. 28 West Plaza - Heritage Fabr•ic Shoppe - Ed and Rebekah Holt represented the <br />petition. Ms. Holt stated they are moving from the Village Shopping Center, moving <br />existing sign to replace Michelle's sign. Motion was made by Jerry Raper, seconded by <br />Matt Coyle to approve the COA. Motion carried unanimously. <br />B. 115 S. Main - Sims Norment - Reappr°ove - Sims Norment represented the <br />petition. Mr. Sims stated he wants to paint the sign blank. Motion was made by Jerry <br />Raper, seconded by Ben Vaughan to approve the COA. Motion carried unanimously. <br />C. 102 Lamar Ave. - MomMom 's Heart to Heart Cafe - Betsy Mills - Betsy Mills <br />represented the petition. Ms. Mills stated went on Arvin's recommendation to use temp <br />window sign. Motion was made by Jerry Raper, seconded by Matt Coyle to approve the <br />COA. Motion carried unanimously. <br />4. Discussion of and action on placing Citizens Forums on future agenda. Motion was <br />made by Ben Vaughan, seconded by Jerry Raper to table this item.
