A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, TEXAS, APPOINTING MEMBERS TO VARIOUS CITY OF PARIS BOARDS AND COMMISSIONS I1V ACCORDANCE WITH POLICIES A1VD PROCEDURES FOR STANDING BOARDS, COMMISSIONS AND COMMITTEES; MAKING OTHER FINDINGS A1VD PROVISIONS RELATED TO THE SUBJECT; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the terms of certain members of various City of Paris Boards and Commissions are expiring on April 30, 2009 and it is appropriate that they be reappointed or that new members be appointed to fill these positions ; and, WHEREAS, the following members have terms expiring April 30, 2009 on the various City Boards and Commissions listed below: Airport Advisory Board: Andrew F. Fasken Vic Ressler Building & Standards: Lucius Joe, Jr. Harrell Tippitt Historic Preservation: Brad Archer (Resident Property) Arvin W. Starrett (Historical Society) Library Advisory Board: Jackie Alsobrook Deborah Anderson Main Street Advisory Bd: Jennifer Long Karol Lyn Moore PEDC Board: Richard Severson Glen Bawcum Planning & Zoning: Brad Archer Reeves Hayter Traffic Commission: Stephen (Red) Holmes WHEREAS, in accordance with the policies and procedures established for Standing Boards and Commissions adopted on February 11, 2008, these appointed members to the various standing boards and commissions will serve three year terms beginning on May 1, 2009 and ending on Apri130, 2012; and, WHEREAS, the City Council has been furnished copies of applications for these vacancies in order to select and appoint members to serve these positions for the next three years; and, WHEREAS, appointments will be made at the first Council Meeting in April of each ~ft 000132
