Brady Environmental Services, Inc. <br />1.1.5.2 All activities involving the disturbance of asbestos- <br />containing flooring materials shall be performed <br />using wet removal methods. <br />1.1.5.3 Removal of the floor tile and mastic shall be <br />performed using wet methods. All mastic removers <br />incorporated during the project shall have flash points <br />in excess of 140°F. The contractor shall comply with <br />additional respiratory protection as recommended by <br />the manufacturer's Material Safety Data Sheet <br />(MSDS) for the solvent/mastic remover being <br />employed. <br />1.1.5.4 The sheetrock wall and ceiling material shall be <br />removed by manual methods and in a manner which <br />keeps the material reasonably intact. Excessive <br />breakage shall not be allowed. Materials shall be <br />wetted before removal, during removal, and after <br />placement into disposal containers. All insulation <br />materials exposed following removal of sheetrock <br />shall also be bagged and disposed of as ACM. <br />1.1.6 Containment and Decontamination Unit <br />1.1.6.1 Critical barriers consisting of one layer of 6 mil poly <br />shall be provided to separate abatement work from <br />adjacent areas including, but not limited to, electrical <br />panels, windows, vents, doors, entrances, drains, <br />HVAC components, skylights, and all other <br />penetrations that could permit air infiltration to or <br />from the regulated area. Critical barriers shall not <br />include designated entry and exit points far the <br />regulated areas of the project. <br />1.1.6.2 Sufficient negative air units shall be installed to <br />provide at least one air change every ten (10) minutes <br />within the containment. Differential pressure level <br />shall be maintained to at least -0.02" water column <br />inside the containment throughout the removal phase <br />of the project, and until final clearance is achieved. <br />All units shall be de-rated by at least 25% for the <br />purpose of calculations. <br /> <br />% <br />_3_ CS09055 <br /> <br />
