DRAFT <br />attorney\reswork\current\Surplus PD property for Auction Res 2009 <br />RESOLUTION NO. <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, TEXAS, <br />DECLARING CERTAIN PARIS POLICE DEPARTMENT PERSONAL <br />PROPERTY SURPLUS AND ADDING SAME TO A PREVIOUSLY APPROVED <br />SURPLUS PROPERTY LIST TO BE SOLD AT AUCTION; MAKING OTHER <br />FINDINGS AND PROVISIONS RELATED TO THE SUBJECT; AND <br />PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />WHEREAS, on September 10, 2007 the City Council approved by Resolution No. <br />2007-106 the sale of surplus property from several departments of the City of Paris, which <br />no longer serves a useful purpose for the City of Paris and its operation, to be sold at <br />auction; and, <br />WHEREAS, the Police Department has become aware of some additional personal <br />property consisting of extra weight equipment described on the list attached hereto as <br />Exhibit "A", and is desirous of adding said property to the list of surplus property to be sold <br />at auction; and, <br />WHEREAS it would be appropriate to declare said personal property to be surplus <br />property and add to the existing list to be sold at auction. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />PARIS, TEXAS: <br />Section 1. That the findings set out in the preamble to this resolution are hereby <br />in all things approved. <br />Section 2. That the personal property described in Exhibit A, attached hereto, be, <br />and the same is hereby, declared to be surplus property of the City of Paris, and the same <br />may be disposed in accordance with the laws of the State of Texas and the Charter of the <br />City of Paris. <br />Section 3.
