MINUTES <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />BUILDING AND STANDARDS COMMISSION <br />MONDAY, APRIL 20, 2009 <br />4:00 O'CLOCK P.M. <br />1. Bill Harris, Chairman called the Building and Standards Commission meeting to order at <br />4:05 P.M. <br />A. The following members were present: <br />Chris Brown <br />Vicki Ballard <br />Bill Harris <br />Ryan Lassiter <br />B. The following members were absent: <br />Lucius Joe, Jr. <br />Harrell Tippitt <br />Zach Saffle <br />2. Approval of minutes from previous meetings. (January 20, 2009; February 16, 2009) <br />Motion was made by Chris Brown, seconded by Vicki Ballard to approve the minutes for <br />the January 20, 2009 and February 16, 2009 meetings. <br />3. Public Hearing to consider presentations by City of Paris Code Inspectors and <br />owner(s) and/or lien holder(s) of the below properties who have been given notice of <br />a violation of Article III of Chapter 7 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Paris, <br />Paris, Texas, entitled "Substandard and Dangerous Buildings and Structures°: <br />A. 901 S. Main; Lot 19, City Block 158 - Motion was made by Chris Brown, <br />seconded by Vicki Ballard, to allow 30 days to demolish. If the property is not <br />demolished in 30 days the City may demolish, with a$1,000 per day civil penalty. <br />Motion carried unanimously. <br />B. 1305 Pine Bluff; Lot 10, City Block 70-C- Motion was made by Chris <br />Brown, seconded by Vicki Ballard, to allow 30 days to demolish. If the property <br />is not demolished in 30 days the City may demolish, with a$1,000 per day civil <br />penalty. Motion carried unanimously. <br />C. 416 E. Grove, Lot 2, City Block 75-A- Motion was made by Chris Brown, <br />seconded by Vicki Ballard, to allow 30 days to demolish. If the property is not <br />demolished in 30 days the City may demolish, with a$1,000 per day civil penalty. <br />Motion carried unanimously. <br />OO0,019 <br />
