The portable radio is the lifeline in a large capacity for the street <br />officer and upgrades to the present portable radios are needed to ensure the best tools are at the <br />officer's use. The computer tower and monitor are needed in the patrol room of the Lamar <br />County Sheriff s Office to update the old existing computer systems presently being used by the <br />Sheriffs patrol deputies. Computer systems are ever changing and a better system is needed for <br />report management, downloading photographs and burning disks for evidence management. <br />
