4. Coiisideration of'and action on the follolving Faqade Grants: <br />A. 1051 Church Street - Casey Miears - Mr. Miears presented the petition. Motion was <br />made by Paul Denney, seconded by Ben Vaughan to approve the Fa~ade Grant. <br />Motion carried 7-0. <br />5. Discttssion of 'and possible action on the renaming of'the Visionar-ies AxYard. <br />Coinmissioners discussed renaining the Visionaries Award. Motion was made by Paul <br />Denney, seconded by Ben Vaughan to rename the award "The Hayden Award for <br />Historic Preservation". Motion carried 7-0. <br />6. Discussion of and possible action on makzng a contribution to tlze music system for the <br />Downtown Plaza. <br />Commissioners discussed a contribution to the music system. Motion was made by Ben <br />Vaughan, seconded by Jerry Raper to donate $2,500.00 to the music system for the <br />Downtown Plaza. Motion carried 7-0. <br />7. Discussion of and possible action regardirzg tlze following structures considered by code <br />inspectors to be in violation of Ar-ticle III of Chapter 7 of the Code of Ordinances of the <br />City of Par•is, Paris, Texas, entitled "Substandard and Dangerous Buildings and <br />Structures, " to deter-rnine whether such buildings or structui-es can be rehabilitated and <br />desigiiated on the National Register of Historic Places, as a recorded Texas Historic <br />Landmark, or as histoi-ic properry as designated by the City Council of the City of Paris: <br />A. 728 E. Austin; Lot 14, City Block 115 <br />Motion was made by Ben Vaughan, seconded by Susan Scholz, to send structure to the <br />Building and Standards Commission for demolition since it cannot be rehabilitated nor <br />does it have significant historical value. Motion carried 7-0. <br />8. Request items.for future agendas. <br />9.
