MINUTES <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />CITY OF PAR1S HISTORIC PRESERVATION COMMISSION <br />MONDAY, FEBRUARY 22. 2010 <br />4:00 0'CLOCK P.M. <br />1. The Historic Preservation Corrunission meeting was called to order by Paul Denney, Vice- <br />Chairman at 4:15 p.m. <br />A. The following members were present: <br />Paul Denney, Vice-Chairman <br />Douglas Cox <br />Ben Vaughan <br />Jerry Raper <br />B. The following members were absent: <br />Matt Coyle <br />Arvin Starrett, Chairman <br />Susan Scholz, Secretary <br />C. Also present was Robert Talley, Code Enforcement Supervisor. <br />2. Approval of niinutes,from previous minutes. (February 10, 2010) <br />Motion was made by Ben Vaughan, seconded by Jerry Raper to approve the minutes for the <br />February 10, 2010 meeting. Motion carried 4-0. <br />3. Consideration of and action on the following Certfficates of Appropriateness: <br />B. 11615` Street S. W. -Jami Birdsong Photography - Jami Birdsong presented the petition. <br />Ms. Birdsong stated she will be conducting business in the loft, needs vinyl lettering <br />sign on the door downstairs to mark her business. Paul Denney stated he has a problem <br />with covering the transom window. Ms. Birdsong stated she was aware that the transom <br />window being covered could be an issue. She is fine with just getting approval for the door <br />decals. Motion was made by Douglas Cox, seconded Jerry Raper to approve the door <br />Motion carried 4-0. <br />A. 120 East Kaufman Street - City of Paris, Water Billing Off ce - Gene Anderson and Glen <br />Wark presented the petition. Mr. Wark stated they are proposing to replace the existing <br />aluminum door and side lights. The door will consist of an aluminum frame door that will <br />swing out to comply with fire code. He further stated the original door was made from <br />aluminum. Motion was made by Ben Vaughan, seconded by Jerry Raper to approve the <br />replacement of the door and the side lights.
