We propose to <br />prepare structural plans and specifications for the construction of the new foundation <br />system. <br />Project Scope: <br />Based upon the recommendations provided in the Geotechnical Evaluation, Peristyle <br />Pavilion Renovation, Paris, Texas, prepared by Apex geoscience inc., Apex #109-179, <br />dated January 19, 2010, two options were presented, as described below. Please note that <br />Options 1 and 2 would require that the peristyle pavilion and abutting brick building be <br />dismantled, archived and reassembleci. Option 3 would attempt to a11ow the existing <br />structure to remain in place. <br />1. Shallow Foundation System: Excavation of the exisring surficial five feet of soil <br />underlying the foundation area, and backfilled with moisture and density controlled <br />select fill material. New shallow footings, grade beams and slabs would be <br />constructed. <br />2. Straight, drilled concrete shafts or Auger Cast in Place Piles and structurally <br />suspended floor system. <br />3. Stabilization of existing soils with chemical injections and support of existing <br />pavilion by helical piles and corbelled, eccentric plinths. <br />
