Provided supervision, training and scheduling for eight permanent employees and
<br />three part-time employees. Responsible for hiring, firing, evaluation and all program
<br />development. Additionally, administered $820,000.00 regional operations budget.
<br />Worked closely with private sector employers as well as county officials, city
<br />officials and Chambers of Commerce and school districts to supply a well-trained
<br />workforce. Made numerous program presentations to social and civic clubs, as well as,
<br />city council meetings, commissioner's court, and school board meetings.
<br />Developed jobs in the community, counseled participants in areas of interview
<br />techniques, resume preparation, employer contacts, and general information related to the
<br />process of getting and keeping a job. Additionally, provided assessment services to
<br />clients and employers, including administration of the General Aptitude Test Battery, the
<br />TABE, WRAT, ABLE, APTICOM and Jackson Occupational Inventory Tests. Certified
<br />by the Texas Employment Commission to administer the GATB test.
<br />Negotiated, authorized and implemented On-The-Job Training Contracts with
<br />private sector employers, including the development of individualized training schedules,
<br />job descriptions, and cost analysis for each position.
<br />Responsible for all marketing and advertising of the agency and its services.
