DRAFT <br />attorney\reswork\current\TML-IRP Nomination Res 2010 <br />RESOLUTION NO. <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, TEXAS; <br />NOMINATING KEVIN CARRUTH FOR PLACE 2 ON THE TEXAS MUNICIPAL <br />LEAGUE INTERGOVERNMENTAL RISK POOL BOARD OF TRUSTEES; MAKING <br />OTHER FINDIIVGS A1VD PROVISIONS RELATED TO THE SUBJECT; AND <br />DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />WHEREAS, the Texas Municipal League Intergovernmental Risk Pool (TML-IRP) <br />provides the City of Paris and other units of local government with comprehensive liability, <br />property, and workers' compensation insurance and loss prevention services; and; <br />WHEREAS, TML-IRP is governed by a board of trustees comprised of employees or <br />officials of the governing body of a Employer Member of TML-IRP; and, <br />WHEREAS, TML-IRP is seeking nominations for qualified candidates to serve on the <br />Board of Trustees; and, <br />WHEREAS, City Manager Kevin Carruth is a qualified candidate with extensive <br />experience using and promoting TML-IRP and its services; and <br />WHEREAS, Mr. Carruth desires to serve TML-IRP and the Board of Trustees and can <br />make contributions to help make both successful; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, <br />TEXAS: <br />Section 1. That the findings set out in the preamble to this resolution are hereby in <br />all things approved. <br />Section 2.
